DESCRIPTION
AND USE

 

BIOCIDE  190  is  an effective control agent against algae, fungi and   bacteria.   Biocide 190 is based upon a mixture of isothiazolins and is designed for use in open and closed water circuits.

TREATMENT
AND DOSAGE
REQUIREMENTS

 

The effective application of BIOCIDE 190 depends upon an appraisal of site conditions and the type and severity of the problem. Water Guard’s distributor will determine the most effective procedure.  

BIOCIDE  190 is normally shot-dosed to promote a concentration of 500 ml/m3 of system capacity. Frequency of dosing in open systems will vary but will normally be every two or four weeks.  

SAFETY

 

Gloves and goggles should be worn when handling the concentrate. Splashes on the skin or in the eyes should be washed with cold clean water.

BIOCIDE 190 is available in 25 and 200 litre containers.

POTENTIAL HAZARDS
 
Prolonged contact may lead to skin sensitization in some
individuals. 
 
HANDLING & STORAGE
 
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Avoid storage at temperatures above 30 C.
Replace cap securely after use.
Recommended storage limit-depends on tempereture.
Maximum 2 years.

 

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
 
Wear gloves and eye/face protection.

SPILL PROCEDURE
 
Flush to drain with plenty of water.Observe local 
deposal regulations.
 
 
FIRST AID
EYES: Rinse immediately with cold water for
at least 10 minutes. If irritation presists 
seek medical advice.

 

SKIN: Rinse immediately with plenty of soap 
and water.

 

INGESTION: Wash out mouth thoroughly and drink plenty of water.
An emetic may be taken.
