BIONETRO 1020               Treatment for Closed Cooling Systems

 

DESCRIPTION
AND USE 

 

BIONETRO  1020  is a liquid corrosion and scale inhibitor based on  sodium  nitrite,  sodium  benzoate  and polymers   for sealed cooling systems and chilled water circuits using distilled or fresh water.   Effective even where oxygen (air) may be re-entrained in the  circulating  water.  Suitable for most metals including copper and aluminum.

BIONETRO   1020  should  normally  be  used  with  an  effective biocide  (but  not  when  associated  with a fresh water generator producing water for drinking and culinary purposes).

TREATMENT
AND DOSAGE
REQUIREMENTS

 

BIONETRO   1020   is  normally  dosed  to  maintain  the  level of treatment  in  the  system above  a  minimum  value  specified by Water Guard’s distributor to suit the operating conditions.  

A very simple control test based on reagents in tablet form is available. 

BIONETRO 1020 should be injected by means of a dosage pot or equivalent.  

SAFETY

 

BIONETRO 1020 contains sodium nitrite which is an oxidising agent. Fire hazard if allowed to dry in contact with combustibles.

BIONETRO 1020 is toxic of swallowed. Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection. Wash splashes of concentrated solution on skin or eyes using copious quantities of clean cold water.

POTENTIAL HAZARDS
 
Irrtating to skinand mucous memberanes.
 
HANDLING & STORAGE
 
Avoid extremes of tempreture.
Storem away from foodstuffs and combustibles.
Do not allow to dry out - replace cap securely after use.
Do not mix with acids. 
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Recommended storage limit-2 years.

 

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
 
Wear protective overalls,gloves and eye/face protection.
SPILL PROCEDURE
 
Flush area to 
drain with plenty of water. Observe local 
disposal regulations.
 
FIRST AID
 
EYES: Rinse immediately with plenty of water
for atleast10 minutes. If irritation 
presists seek medical advice. 
SKIN: Rinse immediately with water.
Contaminated clothing should be laundered 
before use. 
INGESTION: Wash out mouth thoroughly and drink plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting.

is non-hazardous.
