CWT 520                   Treatment for Cooling Systems

 

DESCRIPTION
AND USE 

 

CWT   520    is  a   corrosion i  nhibitor  and  scale  preventative synergised   by  organic    sequestering  and  dispersing agents together      with   an   alkali,  specially  formulated  for  use with naturally-soft, corrosive waters.

TREATMENT
AND DOSAGE
REQUIREMENTS

 

CWT   520  is   normally  maintained  at  correct treatment level depends  on  operating  conditions such as pH, temperature and concentration factor of the water and the mechanical design of the heat exchange plant. The optimum treatment level for any plant will be specified by Water Guard.

 

 

CWT  520  should be used with an effective biocide treatment .  

 

 

The viscosity of CWT 520 allows it to be handled by conventional dosing pumps without dilution but it may be diluted if desired.

CWT 520 is not corrosive to mild steel mixing tanks or dosing pumps in concentrated or in diluted form. It may be pumped direct from the container using equipment in steel or plastic.  

SAFETY

 

CWT 520 is alkaline. Gloves and goggles should be worn when handling the concentrated solution. Wash splashes on the skin or eyes using copious quantities of clean cold water.

CWT 520 is available in 25 and 200 litre containers .

HANDLING & STORAGE
 
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Avoid extremes of temperature.
Replace cap securely after use.
Recommended storage limit-2 years.

 

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
 
Wear protective overalls, rubber gloves and eye/face 
protection.

SPILL PROCEDURE
 
Flush to drain with plenty of water. Do not discharge
directly into rivers or watercourses. Observe deposal regulations.
 FIRST AID
 
EYES: Rinse immediately with plenty of water
for at least 10 minutes and seek medical advice.

 

SKIN: Clean immediately with ethyl alcohol and then wash with soap and water. Contaminated
clothing should be laundered before re-use.

 

INGESTION: Wash out mouth thoroughly and drink plenty of water.
Don't induce vomiting.
