TREATMENT
AND DOSAGE
REQUIREMENTS

Water  Guard  will   give   specific  instructions for  the  use  of W.G. 70 to suit the individual installation. As a general guide, the initial  dose  is  normally  60 ml/m3 for a period of approximately two  months  in  order  to create a protective film to inhibit corrosion,  subsequently  the  dosage  rate is reduced to approx. 20 ml/m3.

The treatment should be applied continuously, preferably by a metering pump. W.G. 70 is not corrosive to steel or plastics in concentrated or diluted form.

W.G. 70 may be pumped neat as supplied or diluted for convenience using clean cold water.

SAFETY

W.G.  70  is mildly alkaline. Gloves should be worn. Wash splashes  of  concentrated liquor from skin or eyes using clean cold water.

The sodium silicate and sodium phosphate levels corresponding to the above dosage rates are within WHO (World Health Organization) limits for potable water. The chemicals used are of high purity and meet the requirements of the Department of the Environment in the Netherlands.
